  1. Find the two position settings on side and bottom of the changer and set them both to "V" (Vertical mounting).
  2. Screw support brackets to both sides of the changer with the "ears" sticking out at either end of the faceplate.
  3. Find the connecting wire either clipped to the trunk wall or under a rectangular plastic cover on the trunk wall.
  4. Pull back the carpet and bolt the mounting bracket to the three existing bolt holes on the left side of the trunk floor with the slot for holding the wire connectors facing the wall.
  5. Conect the wire from the changer to the wire in the trunk and clip the connectors into the slot on the mounting bracket.
  6. Slide the changer down into the mounting bracket with the cartridge opening closest to the rear of the car.
  7. If you have a protective cover (some don't) place it around the changer.
  8. Secure the changer (and protective cover, if present) to the mounting bracket with two screws in the top.
  9. Trim the carpet either by cutting according to the lines printed on the bottom of the carpet or by cutting across the ends of the changer to form a flap that runs up the side of the changer (the latter method will allow you to remove the changer without leaving a big hole in the carpet).
(I was lucky... When I bought my GLX it came with a CD Changer installed but because of a special sale it only added $250 to the list price of the car. Cheaper than buying the parts!)
