the survey uncovered something we hadn't previously known: that part of our house was built over the property line, into the floodway of the river.

that means the new house will need to be redone, so that it doesn't extend over the boundary.

in other news, there's now one of those temporary fences around our property. hopefully that'll stop all the weird stuff going on.
