toona's bandages are all off and his pain meds have been reduced by half; he's sitting around, grooming and looking like a real cat should.

we've talked to a couple of general contractors and things sound like there could be a house built in 3-6 months, once it gets started. there's a few more hurdles to jump before that happens. the structure adjuster had already seen and accounted for the damage to the retaining wall by the river and it'll be in the scope of work, so that's a relief.

no progress on the longer-term housing yet; apparently the lady in charge of us had until Thursday off for Labor Day.
