we went to the library and got books on construction, codes, and contractors. we were too tired to head over the hill to see toonam, jules, and samlet, but the good news is that toona's back legs don't need bandages anymore but he's still getting wet-to-drys on the front ones. he's eating and likes being petted, so it sounds like he's doing ok.

it was very hot today and we just sat around, drinking my IPA.

if you've worked with any general contractors who've done work in Santa Cruz County and are decent in their dealings, we'd be interested in hearing suggestions. we're also looking for an architect.

we're gonna clean out the shed in preparation for storing more recovered stuff tomorrow morning, then visit cats.
